Plot :

An orphaned girl, driven by poverty at such a young age, makes a promise with an enchantress. In return for beauty and the admiration of every man, she will never be with the man she loves. This spell cannot be broken unless the impossible happens: snow falling in spring and the dead coming back to life. Now a grown and beautiful princess, she regrets her promise, for all of the men she's loved has always been met with tragedy. In love again with a man behind a red armor and a golden mask who rescues her from death, she is tormented by their inevitable parting. Meanwhile, Kunlun, the slave of a great general, is searching for the lost memories of a family he once had. Soon the fate of these two intertwine when the princess believes the general to be her hero, thus pulling him into this web of fate. What end will befallen our three characters? Are their fates already sealed by a higher power, or can they still choose a life they want?

Sypnosis:

There are breakpoints in the history, the result of a single event may change the whole course... In 1909, an assassination attempt to a Japanese governor fails - the assassin was shot by a soldier. Now, in 2009, Korea is just another state of the Japan Empire and Seoul has become a major city. A Korean resistance group called Hureisenjin is formed to fight for liberty and independence. Two cops, a Japan and a Korean (who denied his heritage) are investigating the actions of this "terrorist" group. And their work lead them to an artifact of the ancient Korean religion of "Sun and Moon".

Sypnosis:

A man without a country finds himself caught between the forces of a divided Korea in Typhoon, the latest film from director Kwak Kyung Taek, the man behind the 2001 box office smash Friend and his 2002 follow-up Champion. In this story of a dangerous game of cat and mouse between two adept adversaries, director Kwak reteams with his Friend leading man, Jang Dong Gun and adds Lee Jeong Jae (from Oh! Brothers) to the mix as the nemesis of Jang's character. In this tense, pulse-pounding adventure, Jang portrays a pirate by the name of Myeong Shin, a rebellious upstart who defects from North Korea only to find himself turned away by South Korean authorities.

Furious at this blatant snub, the fanatically motivated Myeong Shin decides to exact vengeance on South Korea, engaging in a level of terrorism that could very well result in numerous deaths across both Koreas. Myeong Shin's opponent in this high seas adventure is Kang Se Jong (Lee Jeong Jae), an honorable naval officer who'll do whatever it takes to bring Myeong Shin to justice. Much in the same spirit as the hit film Taegukgi, Kwak Kyung Taek's latest is a big budget blockbuster that seeks to comment on North and South Korean tensions, but here the emphasis is not on the bonds of brotherhood, but on the inescapable showdown that will befall these two protagonists!

As the highest budgeted film in Korean Cinema history, with numerous locations including Pusan, Thailand, and Russia, Typhoon is one blockbuster that's sure to make waves among audiences everywhere!

Sypnosis:

Jin Tae shines shoes hoping to save money to send his younger brother Jin Seok to university. Their mother runs a noodle shop wishing the best for her two sons even though things have been tough since her husband has passed away. Sending Jin Seok to university has become the shining light in their family's everyday lives. With the start of the Korean War, Jin Seok is unwillingly conscripted into the war, which forces Jin Tae to join the war to save his brother and send him back to his mother. Without money or influence, the only hope to save his brother is for Jin Taae to enlist in suicidal missions in order to earn the Medal of Honor, which will guarantee Jin Seok's release. Jin Seok fails to understand his brother's actions and misinterprets them as a dangerous mix of patriotism and an obsession with fame and glory. It is only at the fatal end that Jin Seok realizes the truth of his brother's sacrifice.

Sypnosis:

At a time when students had to fasten their collars and crease their slacks till they're razor sharp, these four friends strutted around in their own custom-fashioned uniforms. They walked the streets with their heads held high, shoulders straight, and chests out, fearing nothing when they were together. Joon-suk, a son of a vigilant gang boss; Dong-su, the only son of an undertaker; Sang-taek, a diligent student; Joong-ho, who never keeps his mouth shut.
