Based on a true story published on the internet by Kim Ho Sik, this offbeat 2001 romantic comedy stars Cha Tae Hyun (Lover's Concerto and Sad Movie) as Kyun Woo, an all-around nice guy college student who's on the lookout for love. While his aunt has been trying to set him up on a blind date for ages, Kyun Woo has always come up with a reason to decline, instead hoping to find the woman of his dreams all on his own.
What Kyun Woo finds instead, however, is a decidedly different kind of woman. While on the subway, he has a fateful encounter with "The Girl," a beautiful, but totally plastered young woman played by Jeon Ji-Hyun. Kyun Woo tries to ignore the girl's drunken antics, but when she ends up calling him "Honey," before promptly passing out, the duty falls upon our protagonist to take responsibility for the young woman since everyone on the train angrily presumes she's his girlfriend. Kyun Woo's forced act of kindness ends up kick-starting a bizarre sort of relationship between the two, as the charming, but violence-prone woman starts putting our hapless hero through numerous humiliations!
Kyun Woo bears with it all, becoming both a figurative and literal punching bag for this manic young woman, but as he gets to know her better, he begins to realize that there's something deeper lurking beneath her tough girl facade. What secret does she hold? And what will it mean for their wacky, yet strangely tender relationship? See for yourself in My Sassy Girl, the film that made a bonafide superstar out of Jeon Ji Hyun, who went on to win the Best Actress Award at the 2001 Grand Bell Awards in South Korea! It's the rare Korean film in which the phrase "Wanna Die?" never sounded so sweet!

I think My Sassy Girl was a very funny and amusing movie. You seriously cannot get tired of watching this movie while it’s playing. I've watched it about like 3 times and its still funny and cute. The main hero who tries to be the tough guy over the girl is so hilarious. As the movie goes on, one can clearly see how the relationship between the guy and girl changes. At some moments you may think that those two don't get along but watching how they change and what the plot of the story is very interesting. I personally cried at few moments but I don't remember when I did. I do remember laughing almost every few seconds though. The one part that really amuses me is when the main character has to take the girl to the hotel like twice. Also the girl, seeing her yell out her opinions at other people not caring about others is funny especially at the part where she yells at the main character guy in the restaurant. I believe that everyone should watch this since its one of the best k-movies I’ve seen. ^___^

My Sassy Girl Rocks!!!!!!!!!
Everyone has different tastes in movies but I didn't like this one so much. I didn't know it was based on a true story though that makes it more interesting, because their relationship definately is the most interesting aspect of the story. How they meet on the subway was hilarious though and when he tries to get back at her. I geuss I just don't like movies where the girl is always bossy and yelling and stuff.
I just loved this movie.Great acting, great plot and great soundtrack.
wow i didnt know it was based on a true story. kinda scary though.. well to be honest i didnt like it at all. only the beginning was kinda funny but uff after that, it was all about a yelling n bossy girl. to me it was absolutely weird n boring. it had nothing to do with romance or a relationship - my opinion.
Yes this is indeed a very sweet film. One of finest love story i have ever seen.In india very bad film named ugly aur pugly was copied from this. But this is very beautiful film.
